China Demand for Soybeans to Fall in Coming Weeks, Center Says

Sept. 18 (Bloomberg) -- China, the largest soybean buyer, will post weakening demand for imports of the oilseed in coming weeks after appetite dropped in the last seven days, the state- backed China National Grain & Oils Information Center said.

An index measuring demand for agricultural products ranked soybeans 51.9 on a scale of 0 to 100 this week, compared with 53.1 last week and 44.4 the same period last year, the center said today in an e-mailed report. A reading below 50 indicates a bearish outlook.
